MRO Data Audit

The MRO Data Audit is the first and very important step to assess a company’s data quality and it’s fitness for a given purpose. Data Audit is a multilayered discovery process that involves multiple stakeholders, so we can take a deep dive into the MRO material master data. Steps involved in the Data Audit process are:

• Identify business pain points
• Acquire and analyze material and vendor data
• Segregate the data based on quality and nature of issues
• Determine corrective and preventive steps needed
• Develop a report with findings and recommendations

The Audit will answer questions such as: 

• How bad is the data?
• What are the main problems?
• How is bad data affecting the business?
• How can the issues be resolved?
• How can you prevent bad data from entering the systems?

Vendor Data Analysis

During the preliminary Data Audit, we also review the Vendor Master to detect duplicate records, incorrect / inconsistent descriptions, or outdated vendor information. Some vendor classification codes, such as NAICS codes, aren’t available, making it hard to build a comprehensive vendor portfolio and to consolidate vendors.

MRO Data Audit Methodology

Partlinq’s data audit is powered by a proprietary methodology that yields accurate analysis and valuable insights. A sample of material master data will be analyzed statistically to determine error types and inconsistent patterns. This will help us identify the broad range of MRO spare parts data.
